A difficult problem usually means that it will business email list not be smooth sailing, especially for projects like decision support. There will be changes, difficulties, and repeated experiments along the way. If there is a problem with teamwork, it will seriously affect the delivery of the product.
Product managers should have the ability to condense the team, not at the organizational level, but at the project level to condense the team into a community (even if only temporarily). The ability of collaborative teams can also be divided into the following parts:
(1) Identify member roles
Find your key players. In this breakthrough, who plays the key role, who is the opinion leader of the team, and who is the one who likes to throw cold water on the back.
You have to become a comrade-in-arms with him and fight in the same trench. He will work with you to improve the details and become a good think tank for the product manager.
The opinion leader of the team, you must reach a consensus with him, let him stand with you when everyone disagrees, and jointly escort the project.
The person who throws cold water on his back should find a way to let him take some peripheral responsibilities in your product development (it is highly replaceable), or use some methods to make him only throw cold water and not hold him back.
(2) Do a good job in releasing negative emotions
Let the team know that there is hope ahead and a retreat behind. Tell them your real plan for the project, even if you feel that the leadership's requirements are difficult to meet, and cross-departmental collaboration will inevitably lead to discord, mobilize your high emotional intelligence, and control the conflicts between your team members and other teams.
Data product managers should not only exercise their professional skills, but also deliberately train their own way of thinking. A solid underlying ability will bring you more possibilities across domains.
